Japanese perfection and honour isn't a thing anymore for the fighting game industry.The Dead Or Alive franchise is back for its 6th instalment. Only hope they have left is too reboot the whole franchise by someone who actually cares about the fighting and quality. Franchise went downhill after they started to cater too much to fan-service thus creating a reputation they can't get out from. There is no passion anymore by the devs for this franchise. Which is why people play fighting games in the first place.īlame it on corporate greed for ruining an excellent game. Right now, I'm just playing Tekken to get over the urge to beat people up in 3d.

I'd say it's impossible to button mash if you know how to counter it. It looks like a dreamcast game.ĭoA is still a solid fighter. What other fighter looks that much worse online. I just can't get over how ugly online DOA6 looks.

I didn't lab at all and I was juggling and parrying like crazy in less than an hour. Compare it to MK which is arguable a very beginner friendly fighter and it's still more casual. I'm sure you can argue there's still a skill gradient but you don't even have to compare it to Tekken. People who don't know fighters think it's essentially button mashing but DOA is button mashing. You can play the same character for months and just be playing the character on the surface level. You have to pay so much attention in Tekken. Maybe if they do embrace free to play they'll get more people into the genre though. They better fully embrace that free to play model because people aren't going to be okay with the amount of money they want and as of now the game's dead. Are they thinking people are going to want to buy it when you can't even alt-enter to fullscreen. But I'm looking at the free version of DOA5 and shaking my head.

I'm totally fine with sticking to the older version if they insist on charging as much as a car for the full game of DOA6. Do you think the devs are too stupid to release the game's got no value if no one's playing it. They're not offering a better value than their competition and all of these great fighters launched so close together. I wish Tekken would get some knew stages and maybe a tutorial, but you look at this ♥♥♥♥ and it's just outfits and junk with a few sprinkles thrown in of what people car about. And I'm totally for spending a hundred bucks for more content. I saw the game when it launched and I would have bought it except for that $100 pass.

If you can't even maintain 500 people then the game is dead. The game looks fun but fighting games are a lot of work to get into and nobody is playing it. The first thing you do is go to graphics settings and keybinding. It's like nobody responsible for this game ever played a game on a computer. Keybindings are important even if you don't want to change them because you can see what the command keys are. It's just a shame they did so little to make the game work. Hightime1011, does seem like it's a fun game. You have to configure the game before launch.

I just noticed that DOA 6 had a free version.
